StayGo is a full-stack web platform built for the Maldives daily-rent market — 3–4 room guesthouses where discovery and operations usually happen over WhatsApp. The product replaces that chaos with two connected layers: a public marketplace for guests and an operational vendor portal for property owners and staff.
On the marketplace, guests browse without logging in. Search is anchored to real-world points of interest — hospitals (IGMH, ADK), ferry terminals, bus stops, and admin landmarks — so results are ranked by proximity first and vendor activity second. Listing cards show trust signals like availability badges (available now, high demand, likely full), distance to the selected POI, last-updated timestamps, photos, and map placement. Conversion stays human-first: one-tap WhatsApp and call buttons with pre-filled inquiry messages, keeping negotiation off-platform while availability stays authoritative on-platform.
The vendor portal is a mobile-first admin experience powered by a room state engine. Staff use a Gantt-style room matrix to manage holds (6-hour expiry), walk-in bookings, check-ins, extensions, and room changes. Owners get deeper access: pricing, payments, revenue views, CSV exports, and guest logs for regulatory needs. Role-based access separates admin, owner, and staff permissions across dashboard, bookings, rooms, payments, analytics, user management, and audit logs.
Under the hood, Next.js App Router with React Server Components and Server Actions talks to Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage) with migrations, RLS, and RPC-backed business logic. Marketplace engagement events feed owner/admin analytics; transfer receipts upload directly to Supabase Storage. Interactive maps use Leaflet with OpenStreetMap tiles. The UI follows a glassmorphism design system with dark mode, Framer Motion transitions, and Tailwind CSS — optimized for phone-first use in Maldives time (GMT+5) and MVR pricing.
Phase 1 deliberately avoids payment gateways and in-app chat, focusing on fast discovery, reliable room-state truth, and smooth handoff to WhatsApp — a practical fit for how daily rent actually works in the Maldives.
